New Goal…

So I have done some thinking and I have set a new goal for my self. I want to lose 60 lbs by July, more than that would be nice lol but 60 is the goal. I need some serious motivation and help!

Need suggestions

Hey all fellow buddyslimmers! I’m looking for some suggestions, what do you like to listen to when you work out? I’m getting pretty bored with what I have on my ipod, and since my treadmill faces the wall, I listen to music. Problem is…. I must have heard all the songs I have on there dozens of times, and it’s not giving me the boost I need. So what do you songs/artists/music do you guys listen to when you work out?

Owwwww PAIN!!!

 As the title says…. I’m in PAIN! (and not from working out haha!) Me and a couple of girlfriends decided to treat our selves to massages this afternoon, and OMG it felt great but hurt all at the same time. I’ve never been in this much pain from a massage before! I feel completely sore and it hurts to move :-( I hope it feels better tomorrow, I have a goal to work out for 100 minutes! (25 points if I do it for my survivor challange!) I had wayyy too many carbs today (and not the good kinds! I <3 bagels, but they don’t love me back!) and I’m going to push my self a little harder these next couple of days and hopefully eliminate any damage I’ve done haha!

Heart Walk

Tomorrow I will be walking in the American Heart Associations Heartwalk, This is something I’m super proud of because this year my team is in 3rd place for donations and walkers for the entire region! I’ve done this for the past 4 years and every year it seems to be better, I’m really looking forward to tomorrow! :) Plus, I’m a VIP!

Tomorrow is also the first weigh in for the Survivor Challange!!! I’m excited to see how I’ve done, I know I’ve worked extra hard this week, with workouts and not eating any junk, so I hope all the hard work has paid off! I’m on an amazing team with amazing ladies, and I’m so happy and proud to be on thier team!

 In other news…. I CHOPPED my hair off! It’s really cute… but it’s short! My hair was super long (more than half way down my back) and it’s above my shoulders now. It’s a little shorter than I wanted to go, but the good part of that is there’s enough hair to donate (and it’s hair, it will grow back!) I’m sending it off to locks of love in the morning, and I hope that someone can benefit from it!

I hope everyone had an amazing week, and I just want to say thank you to everyone that I’ve come in contact on this site. There are amazing people here, the most postive and motivating people and I’m so glad that I’m here!

What you eat in private, shows in public!

I remember reading that some where, and it’s my new thing I say to my self when I’m in the mood for a binge. This morning was pretty stressful, and I was just ready to throw in the towel. Thankfully I avoided the urge to eat crap, and the day got better! I had an awesome dinner tonight, I made grilled chicken, butternut squash fries in the oven (YUM!!!) and purple califlower with green broccolli. Something about fun colored veggies makes it much more fun to eat! haha :-) I’m starting to actually like *gasp* cooking! I’m shocked!! I feel so much better not eating crappy processed foods! Nothing else really new to blog about, I’m just keeping up and going day by day! The heartwalk is in 5 days and I’m excited, and relieved at the same time, I’ve put alot of time and work into it, and I will be glad to get some of that time back!

Motivation in the strangest of places… for women only haha

 Sometimes you find little bits of motivation in the weirdest places. Like the title of this blog suggests, it’s kinda a woman only kinda thing. So anyways, during that “time of the month” working out seems like the last thing I wanna do. I’d rather curl up in a ball on my heating pad with something chocolate and something salty (pizza and brownies were good treats in the past haha!) Well it’s that T.O.M again and I had a nice little suprise! I had a coupon for Platex sport tampons (and at like $7 a box, $1 off is awesome!) So I tried them, and on each wrapper there is a note on it, things like….

 ”Reach for the finish line”

Haha anyways, I thought it was kinda cute and had to share! I weighed in this morning for my Rockstars and Survivor challanges and 2lbs lost this week! I’m super happy about that! And when I updated my tracker, it said I earned a white star? Anyone know what that means? Or what it’s for? Hope everyone is having a great weekend! :-)

Sooo happy I could cry!! (and I did, happy tears of course!)

So last week I ordered a pair of LB pants online, size 18. I didn’t think they would fit me for a a few weeks, but I didn’t wanna buy a 20 and then only have them last a month or so and then have to buy the next smaller size. So I figured I’d use the pants for motivation. They got delievered today while I was at work, I came home and the first thing I did was try them on. OMG!!!! They FIT!!!! I wasn’t expecting it at all! And not only do they fit…. but they fit comfortably and look great!!!

I haven’t been this size since the begining of high school (so about 10 years!) When I first starting losing weight, I was in a *cringe* 28. You guys are the first people to know that haha! I’ve never admitted to anyone what my size/weight is! I’m so happy I could do cartwheels!

 Well I just had to brag a little… now it’s time to go kick my treadmills butt!! Hope everyone is doing great and had a great day! If I can do this, ANYONE can!!!! :-D

Whaaaat??? No Biggest Loser tonight???

Ughhh!!!! That’s soooo unfair! I just checked the TV guide and it says the debates are on tonight. Why can’t the debates be on like on a Friday or Weekend night? Why must they be on the night of the one show that I actually watch?

Title (haha couldn’t think of what to name this one!)

  Well it’s been a few days since I’ve written in here, but I’ve been around. I’m trying to learn this site, I’ve been checking out the forums and chatting with the awesome buddies on here! I love reading the blogs, it’s amazing how many things people talk about that I can relate too, and it’s nice to have people to share it with!

  The weekend was great, did my first weigh in with the Rockstars! I’m defintely proud of the 4lb loss, it helped motivate me threw the weekend. I did good last week, and I didn’t wanna blow it. Weekends are always tough on me, getting out of my daily routine. I usually eat worse and excersise less on the weekends, but not this one! I did pretty good. I stayed within my calorie allowences, no junk food and I worked out everyday. Tried yoga again, I really wanna love it, but it seems a little too slow for me. I love relaxation part of it, and I love the streches, they feel great, but I just can’t get the hang of it yet. I’m not going to give up though! I really would love to incorporate some of it into my daily (or everyother day haha) routine! I do love my ball though, that thing is soo cool, and it makes doing situps alot easier/more challanging!

Yay! I’m on a team! Rockstars! :-)

 This is pretty awesome, I’m still feeling really new and really unsure of how everything works on this site, but I’m starting to get the hang of it! So there was a blog posting tonight from Lara about joining a team, a few people mentioned teams, but when I checked out the forums I got kinda lost, trying to figure out what to do. But thanks to her and her blog post, I’m in! So thank you Lara! This site is awesome, and I’m so glad I found it, it’s given me an extra boost I needed! :-)

I usually weigh my self and count my weight loss on Fridays, but now I’ll be switching to Saturdays (although I have to admit, as much as I’ve read not to weigh your self every day, I do. haha but I only really pay attention to fridays numbers because I understand how weight can fluctuate from day to day) Anyways, I’ve lost 4lbs this week!! 4 wonderful pounds, gone, and hopefully to never return to me ever again!

 I only walked 2 miles tonight, so I forced my self to stay in (a little deal I made with my self this morning “You can only go out tonight if you do 3 miles” I know it might seem strange, but I do this often! :-) haha) Well I got lazy when I first got home, and then got cold and pouty and didn’t wanna do anything, so I started reading a new book I got “Half-Assed” by Jeanette Fulda… LOVE HER! I read her blog all the time (pastaqueen.com) She’s funny as can be, a huge inspiration and motivation. She’s around my age, and litterally lost half of her weight. So anyways, I finally decided to get my butt up, but by the time I did it I only felt like doing 2, I just didn’t have the energy to push my self that last mile. But 2 miles is better than none!  

 I promise my self to work a little harder tomorrow :-) Another promise/goal I want to make for my self is going to bed earlier, I keep reading how sleeping helps with weight loss (and I want alllllll the help I can get! :-) haha) I really need to start telling my self that no matter what, I need an earlier bed time. I’m aiming for no later than 10pm on week nights (Today isn’t counting cause even though it’s a weekday…. it’s FRIDAY! :-) lol)

Anyways, back to the book and then bed! Have a good weekend everyone!!!
